The Moonee Valley Painting Group is a watercolour painting class / group that meets weekly in Essendon. The group has 4 terms per year, each of 8 weeks duration in line with Victorian School Terms. The group has a loyal and dedicated membership.
I established the group at the Essendon Community Centre in 1981and it continues today as a privately run painting class.
In May 2011, the MVPG celebrated its 30th year with a special Anniversary Dinner and Presentation evening.
The group has mounted several exhibitions of members' work over the years, and various members have shared joint exhibitions from time to time at local galleries or art centres.
The MVPG currently has 18 members and maintains a wait list.
